Yoga
We are naturally fluid.
More than half our total body weight is water. Yet this fluid power; in our awareness and way of moving, is often an untapped reservoir of energy and joy.
Yoga aims to unite our mind, body and spirit. It helps you to become more aware of your body's posture, alignment and pattern movements. And of course, as we all know, it makes the body more flexible and helps you relax.
Yoga will also benefit you in these areas:-
Physiological ; Helps to reduce blood pressure, and heart rate, and it also helps to increase your endurance during activities.
Psychological Puts one in a better state of mind, as it eases you whilst decreasing depression and anxiety.
Biochemical (helps to decrease the glucose and salt in the body and increases the Vitamin C which is needed for the growth and repair of tissues in all parts of the body
There are many types of yoga to practice so its important to find out which type of yoga is right for you.
The most common types of yoga are;-
Bikram yoga
Vinyasa yoga (also known as vinyasa flow)
Ashtanga yoga
Hatha yoga
Prenatal yoga (if you're an expectant mother)
and
Restorative yoga
Remember, you DON'T need to have previous experience in yoga, and dont worry if you're not flexible, your strength and flexibility will build as time goes on.
You will feel yourself becoming fitter, more energetic, happier and peaceful.
