Dealing with food cravings after a workout!


After a good workout, we tend to crave the most fattiest of foods with the highest amounts of fats! especially fizzy and high in sugar drinks!

This is your body's way of reminding you to replace the lost nutrients during exercise.

Usually when working out, nutrient drinks like Powerade and activate, which keeps you hydrates and nourished during your sessions..

 However, water is equally good and important as it helps to quickly flush out the waste in the body and cleanses the system.
A You can squeeze some fresh lemon or orange juice into the water as they work well with the body to burn fat. (thermogenic properties)

After a workout, you should be looking to consuming a meal high in protein and carbohydrate, the protein is needed for muscle repair which has been broken down during the workout.

Avoid the simple carbs that you would crave and go for complex carbs like brown bread, chicken slices,egg, or beans.

If you are not feeling for something too heavy, then you can have walnuts, almonds, peanuts, or other dried fruits as they provide a lot of protein and natural sugars to help restore the body with a lower calorie compared to your cravings.
